Celebrity Traitors Final Episode Accidentally Uploaded A Full Day Early Outside the UK
Note: This article does not contain spoilers concerning the final episode
This concluding episode of the star-studded edition of The Traitors was mistakenly made available by overseas distributors prior to its planned UK airing on Thursday night, according to official sources.
Reports indicate that the final was watched by a few hundred subscribers of the streaming service Crave in Canada; they were able to view it for a short period before it was taken down.
This installment being uploaded was not a error by the producing network, and a spokesperson for the company urged those who believe they know the outcome of the series to "avoid sharing potential spoilers".
"We kindly ask anyone who thinks they know the outcome of The Celebrity Traitors to hold any information they have to themselves," the announcement said.
"We ask you to refrain from posting any spoilers so that the vast audience who have been faithfully following every twist and turn of the series can experience the final this night."
The Celebrity Traitors is presently the most-watched TV program of the year, with an average of 12.6 million viewers over the first four episodes.
Fans of the series have been waiting to see whether traitors the traitors will win the £100,000 prize for charity or whether faithfuls Joe Marler, Nick Mohammed and David Olosuga will be victorious.
A past champion of the third season of the show commented that "everyone dislikes spoilers", which are "the thief of joy".
He mentioned he will be sitting down to view the finale tonight live, with all of his family and "a bucket of popcorn".
Thursday's concluding installment is extended to 70 minutes on BBC One, with an extended edition of the companion show set to air on BBC Two after the finale.
Presenter Ed Gamble will be accompanied by the contestants and Claudia Winkleman as they respond to the series conclusion.
