Barça Set to Play First Fixture at Partially Completed Camp Nou this Saturday
Barça revealed their first game will take place at the still-under-construction Camp Nou on Saturday. The club will host the Bilbao team in La Liga over two years following their departure for construction to commence.
“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Attendance will be limited but 45,401 spectators will be allowed to watch based on approved permits. When completed, the Camp Nou is due to hold almost 105,000 spectators, a rise from the old capacity. Barça announced completed upgrades featured a renovated tunnel for players plus modern locker rooms.
Recent Activities
Barça organized a public practice on the home pitch in early November. The club said they are seeking authorization by UEFA to host the next European match against Eintracht Frankfurt next month at Camp Nou. Previous fixtures took place at the Olympic Stadium.
